Mark Morehouse is special assistant in the Office of Special Operations Capabilities within OSD Policy (Special Operations/Low-Intensity Conflict & Interdependent Capabilities). Prior to joining OSD(SOLIC&IC), he was Director of Budget and Appropriations Affairs in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller/Chief Financial Officer). Before coming to the Pentagon, he served 6 years as legislative director and military legislative assistant to Representative Jim Kolbe of Arizona, chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Foreign Operations. He is a 1983 graduate of the United States Military Academy and served as an infantry officer on active duty and in the reserves. He has a master's degree in National Security Policy from Georgetown University.
