Dr. John Horgan

Dr. John Horgan is director of the International Center for the Study of Terrorism at Penn State. A chartered psychologist, he previously held positions at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland) and University College, Cork (Ireland).

Horgan conducts extensive research on the issues of involvement and engagement in terrorism, and in particular on disengagement from terrorist movements. His books include The Psychology of Terrorism (2005) and The Future of Terrorism (1999, with Max Taylor).
